About supported operating systems

We provide support for and recommend using the following devices:

• Android running OS 4.1 and newer

• iPhone running iOS 10 and newer

Once you have one of these devices, install SeeYouAt and register your phone number. SeeYouAt can only be activated with one phone number on one device at a time.

ANDROID DEVICE

Installing SeeYouAt (Android)

To install SeeYouAt on Android device:

• Go to Play Store, then search for SeeYouAt. Tap INSTALL under SeeYouAt.

• Open SeeYouAt and verify your phone number

• Accept the terms of service

• Lastly, type in your name. You can also change this later in SeeYouAt by tapping More options > Account, and tapping on your profile name

Updating SeeYouAt (Android)

You can easily update SeeYouAt from your phone's application store. Please note if you received a message that isn't supported by your version of SeeYouAt, you'll need to update SeeYouAt. We encourage you to always use the latest version of SeeYouAt. Latest versions contain the newest features and bug fixes.

Go to the Google Play Store and search for SeeYouAt. Tap Update next to SeeYouAt.

Uninstalling SeeYouAt (Android)

To uninstall SeeYouAt, go to your phone's Settings app > Apps & notifications > SeeYouAt > Uninstall.

About supported Android devices

We provide support for Android devices that meet the following requirements:

• Your Android phone is running OS 4.1 and newer

• Your Android phone is able to receive SMS or calls during the verification process

We offer limited support for Android tablets with an active SIM card and don't support Wi-Fi only devices.

You'll also need a data plan in order to receive messages when outside the range of a Wi-Fi network.

About rooted phones and custom ROMs (Android)

Custom ROMs and rooted phones aren't supported by SeeYouAt. There are too many variations in these customizations for us to maintain a working product. Furthermore, custom ROMs and rooting don't allow the SeeYouAt security model to function as intended. If you're using a custom ROM or rooted phone, other apps might be able to read your messages despite the end-to end-encryption.

For the best SeeYouAt experience, please use a stock ROM and remove root. Contact your phone's manufacturer for specific instructions on how to unroot.

Moving SeeYouAt to an SD card (Android)

It's not possible to move SeeYouAt to a memory card (SD card) at this time.

We're working on improving our application size and memory utilization. In the meantime, if you need to free up space for SeeYouAt, we recommend moving other applications and media files to your SD card.

IOS DEVICE

Installing SeeYouAt (iOS)

To install SeeYouAt on iOS device:

• Go to Apple Store, then search for SeeYouAt. Tap INSTALL under SeeYouAt.

• Open SeeYouAt and verify your phone number

• Accept the terms of service

• Lastly, type in your name. You can also change this later in SeeYouAt by tapping More options > Account, and tapping on your profile name

Uninstalling SeeYouAt (iOS)

For unistalling SeeYouAt is necessary:

• Touch and hold the SeeYouAt icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle.

• Tap the x in the corner of the SeeYouAt icon.

• Tap Delete to remove the application and all of its data.

• Press the Home button or end button

About supported iOS devices

SeeYouAt for iPhone requires iOS 10 or newer.

For the best experience, we recommend you use the latest version of iOS available for your phone. Please visit the Apple Support website to learn how to update your iPhone's software.

We don't explicitly restrict the use of jailbroken or unlocked devices. However, because these modifications might affect the functionality of your device, we can't provide support for devices using modified versions of the iPhone's operating system.

Can’t use SeeYouAt on jailbroken phone (iOS)

We don't support jailbroken devices and SeeYouAt won't work properly if your phone is jailbroken. Jailbroken devices don't allow SeeYouAt to function as intended and your messages won't be protected by end-to-end encryption.

If you wish to use SeeYouAt and your phone is jailbroken, you should restore your iPhone to factory settings. For more information on how to restore, visit the Apple Support website.
